Epinions Lovin' It!

by  kamalhyder,  Dec 12, 2004
Pros: Works well with my factory sound system; Plays MP3 and regular CDs well.
Cons: No remote and thus no means of displaying ID3 tags with factory sound system.
The Bottom Line: High quality and well built unit that delivers excellent sound.
Review: I bought this unit after struggling with a Sony MP3 CD changer (model CDX-565MXRF) for a few months. The Sony unit had been a big disappointment and the Alpine unit has turned out to be just fantastic. I'm using it with my factory sound system for the ...

Epinions Worth it's weight in gold

by  pughce,  Dec 16, 2002
Pros: 6 discs of MP3's, works like a dream. Great sound.
Cons: Only navigation
The Bottom Line: The best purchase I made all year for my car.
Review: I purchased this about 6 months ago and wanted to spend a bit of time with it before writing a review. I spent a good deal of time researching my alternatives and various price combinations. I ended up spending about $480 for the CD changer, the FM...

Epinions Immaculate CD Changer

by  viper3000000,  Feb 20, 2003
Pros: Quick Searching, cd text, quiet, great sound quality, compact size
Cons: slightly longer waiting time for full mp3 cd's to load
The Bottom Line: I you want a dependable, high quality unit that plays mp3's and writes cd-text out on your head unit, then this unit is what your looking for.
Review: This cd changer is well off in my opinion the ultimate. It adds Mp3 technology, cd-text , and a powerful m-dac. Its fast loading time will impress you along with having dampened shocks to keep it from skipping. I use it everyday and I am still impressed...

Epinions Nice Little Changer

by  pgmark,  Oct 19, 2004
Pros: Plays MP3 CDs, integrates well with BMWs
Cons: slow in fast forwarding tracks, problems with folders
The Bottom Line: This is a good unit for the average user. Sound quality is great, and controls are easy, though they depend on your head unit. I am happy with this changer.
Review: I got this changer because I wanted a way to listen to MP3 CDs in my car without having to get a new head unit and all that (a common problem in BMWs). I did not really have a problem with getting a new head unit, except that the buttons on my steering ...

Epinions Solid buy

by  dr__evil,  Apr 29, 2003
Pros: Quality
Cons: MP3 Controls
The Bottom Line: Do your research first.
Review: It is really unfortunate, but there aren't too many MP3 player options for BMW owners. This was the only changer capable of playing MP3 and compatible with my car. Having heard many good things about Alpine I decided to go for it. If you have an...
